Sabrina @ the Met Gala

Sabrina Carpenter @ the Met At the 2024 MET Gala, Sabrina Carpenter looked stunning as she walked the red carpet. Her vibrant and luminous shade of blonde was created by colorist Laurie Heaps. Hairstylist Scott King stepped created beautiful volumized waves and a swoopy side part to add balance to her form-fitting gown with a billowy length and train.

Sabrina Carpenter @ the Met Here’s Scott’s first-hand breakdown for creating Sabrina’s Met Gala look:

    1. On Sabrina’s damp hair I used Redken Full Volume Mousse at the roots.
    2. I also sprayed Redken Thermal Spray roots to ends to protect the hair from hot tools.
    3. First, I started out with a voluminous blowout using the Dyson Supersonic r Professional Hairdryer at high heat and high air flow settings using the concentrator attachment.
    4. For Sabrina’s fluffy bangs, we used the Dyson Airwrap Multi-styler high heat and high air flow with the Round Volumizing Brush attachment.
    5. Next, I took small 1-2” sections and curled and set the hair using the Dyson Airwrap high heat and high air flow using the 1.2” barrel to create bouncy curls.
    6. After setting her hair, I brushed it out and sprayed Dry Texture Finishing Spray all over for volume and some grit.
    7. Next, I went in and sprayed Redken Root Tease Spray at the roots to add volume to the crown.
    8. I pinned pieces back softly while leaving some curls around the face and locked in the style with Redken Brushable Hairspray all over and Redken Max Hold Hairspray on the bangs to lock them in place.
